New Roman Plates & Bowls
Born from a long-standing ambition to create products that seamlessly blend form and function.
Over a decade ago, we noticed the cafe industry was in need of a well-designed espresso cup, designed by those who use them daily.
Our approach is straightforward: design functional, durable, and elegant products for everyday use.

Classic cafeteria nostalgia
This is the Acme version of Aotearoa's cafeteria mug that was created by Crown Lynn Potteries and was used by Union workers from the 1950s. Perfect for those who love their filter coffee with a bit of old-school charm.

Distinctive form for tea
The Bibby Cups were inspired by an early 18th century tea cup that we found at the bottom of a box. After it was created, we thought the shaped looked a little bit like Bibendum, aka the Michelin Man. Which is where the name Bibby came from.
There is a very functional reason for the shape! The wide rim allows you to sip at the perfect temperature, while the deep centre holds the heat.
Designed for cozy moments
Bobby is a versatile mug designed for wrapping your hands around, whether it's a cup of tea, or a hand-poured filter coffee. A favourite at the Acme office for when we have brewed a filter pot of something yummy!

Megans gift guide for the Home/Geeky Barista...
You love to hate on them but the home barista is a very particular type of barista and when purchasing coffee themed or related items you will get it wrong. Yes, you will get it wrong.
Having worked as a coffee professional for longer than I'd like to share, hi! Megan here, co-owner of Acme, President of the New Zealand Speciality Coffee Assn and of course a very professional coffee drinker. I've been given some pretty "interesting" coffee related items (sorry mum and dad). I'm here to help guide you through the process that is; buying for that loveable home barista/coffee lover in your life.
